The Nuits du Sud festival, which takes place in Vence during the summer, welcomes all the music of the world in a friendly and festive atmosphere. Since its creation in 1998, it has become an unmissable event thanks to the diversity of its program and the beauty of its setting.

The festivalNuits du sud is a festival of World Music placed under the sign of the opening and the discovery of different musical cultures.
This summer event takes place outdoors on the Place du Grand Jardin, in Vence. It owes its appeal in part to the magic and timeless grace of the Vence countryside that inspired Matisse, Dufy and Chagall.
Its diverse program is a testament to the talent-discovering skills of Téo Saavedra, the festival's director.
Short history of the festival
The Nuits du Sud festival was created in 1998. It is since the origin open to all the musics of the world.
This festival representative of traditional, current or emerging world music (jazz, funk, Kabyle folk) has established itself as an unmissable event in the Côte d'Azur landscape and in the professional music world.
It welcomed nearly 60,000 festival-goers in 2012.
Highlights of the festival
The Nuits du Sud festival organizes strong moments of discovery, meeting, celebration and sharing.
This is notably the case of the Master Class, workshops open since 2003 to students and amateurs of music and dance. These meetings aim to give everyone access to knowledge and learning and to share the passion of professionals for dance and music.
In addition, a talent contest is organized within the framework of the festival as well as a competition of shop windows of the merchants of Venice. Instants Ciné & Concerts and meetings with artists are also proposed.
The Jours du Sud are another highlight of this event. The entire city of Vence celebrates on the theme of world cultures with animations for young and old. This year, the Jour du Sud is held on July 20, 2016.

The 25th edition of Southern Nights takes place from July 8 to 23, 2022.
This festival will offer 8 evenings of concerts and an audacious mix of genres.
