The Mouans-Sartoux Book Festival, created in 1988, has become a major literary event on the French Riviera. Fans of novels, biographies, and poems, as well as conferences, films, and concerts, flock to it in large numbers.
Every year since 1988, the small village of Mouans-sartoux located between Nice and Cannes (10,000 inhabitants) becomes a hub of literary and cultural excitement during the Mouans-Sartoux Book Festival.
Around 50,000 visitors are expected to attend this event, which brings together over 300 authors, as well as illustrators, publishers, booksellers, and librarians.
During the Mouans-Sartoux Book Festival, all the book professions are present and this small village on the French Riviera experiences a true cultural buzz for three days.
For the occasion, animation workshops for young people are organized in registered schools, colleges, and high schools. Visitors are also invited to participate in writing workshops, meetings with authors and illustrators, debates, and a literary café.
Poetry and story readings are offered, as well as film screenings and previews at the La Strada cinema media library.
The Mouans-sartoux Book Festival will take place from October 6th to 8th, 2023 on the theme "Draw me peace".
For its 36th edition, the festival has chosen a theme in resonance with current events.
As always, you will find thousands of books, films, shows, concerts, youth activities, and exhibitions gathered in a fantastic cultural mix.
This free event also offers you the opportunity to meet your favorite authors! Around 300 guests have been invited for debates, readings, and lively literary scenes, not to mention street performances, slam poetry, graffiti, dance, and the Authors' Bistro.
