When temperatures rise, it becomes difficult to turn on the oven to bake a cake. If you're craving a delicious dessert rich in antioxidants, try our banana matcha milkshake recipe instead! Easy and quick to prepare, this drink is both invigorating and comforting.
The matcha banana milkshake is an anti-waste recipe that allows you to use ripe bananas. In summer, this fruit tends to ripen faster due to the heat, and of course, it cannot be placed in the refrigerator.
A tip to avoid wasting bananas is to cut them into slices and freeze them for future recipes. Frozen bananas can be used to make quick ice creams called nice creams, banana bread, or milkshakes.
For the matcha tea milkshake recipe, simply proceed as follows:
1- Peel the bananas and cut them into slices.
2- Lay the slices flat on a plate and place them in the freezer for at least 2 hours before making the milkshake. You can also do this freezing step the day before.
3- Take the banana slices out of the freezer 15 minutes before blending them so they are not too hard.
Once you have all the ingredients, preparing the banana matcha milkshake is very simple and quick.
1- Place the frozen banana slices in your blender bowl.
2- Add the vanilla ice cream scoops and the Matcha tea.
3- Start blending to obtain a creamy mixture.
4- Finally, add the milk gradually and blend thoroughly.
Note: adjust the amount of milk based on the desired consistency. If you add less, the resulting dessert will resemble more of a banana matcha ice cream in the style of nice cream (ice cream without an ice cream maker made from frozen banana).
Blend the ingredients well to mix and froth the banana matcha Milkshake.
Serve immediately in 4 glasses. This milkshake, both healthy and delicious, is best enjoyed fresh and frothy!
