Looking for an easy-to-make and very refreshing non-alcoholic cocktail idea? Have you ever thought about preparing a fruit drink with a scoop of sorbet as the final touch? We will explain this trick to you with a delicious recipe for melon mojito with lemon sorbet. This fruity, aesthetic, and indulgent mocktail will amaze you.
Here are the ingredients needed to prepare melon mojito with lemon sorbet for 2 people:
½ Charentais melon.
6 sprigs of fresh mint.
1 organic lime.
10 cl of sparkling water.
2 scoops of lemon sorbet.
To prepare melon mojito with lemon sorbet, you don't need a cocktail shaker. A simple blender is enough.
1- Wash and remove the leaves from the fresh mint.
2- Cut the Charentais melon into slices, then dice the flesh into cubes.
3- Place the melon cubes, mint leaves, and sparkling water in your blender.
1- Wash the lime and cut it in half.
2- Squeeze half a lime and set aside the other half for the rest of the recipe.
3- Add 2 tablespoons of lime juice to the blender bowl.
4- Blend the ingredients for about 20 seconds at medium speed.
Note: The drink that serves as the base for the melon mojito and lemon sorbet should have the texture of a melon smoothie... It should have a consistency that is not too liquid so that you can add a scoop of sorbet on top.
If you want to prepare this melon mojito as a true alcoholic cocktail, simply replace part of the sparkling water with white rum.
For assembling the melon mojito with lemon sorbet, I recommend using stemmed glasses.
1- Pour the melon and mint smoothie until it reaches two-thirds of the height of the glass.
2- Add a scoop of lemon sorbet to each glass.
3- Sprinkle each non-alcoholic cocktail with grated lime zest using a microplane grater and the half lime you set aside.
4- Serve this mocktail immediately, with a dessert spoon. This way, everyone can choose to eat the ice cream with the melon smoothie or wait for it to melt and mix with the fruity cocktail…
