The International Garden Festival welcomes each year 150,000 visitors in the idyllic setting of the Chaumont-sur-Loire castle park. This festival invites you to discover the gardens of tomorrow, through playful and inventive landscaping projects. This visit is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for all amateur gardeners.
The commune of Chaumont-sur-Loire located in the Department of the Loir-et-Cher has hosted the International Garden Festival every year since 1992, a bucolic rendezvous not to be missed.
This event takes place from May to October in the park of the castle of Chaumont-sur-Loire designed by Jacques Wirtz. On this occasion, the park, which includes 26 plots of about 240 square meters, comes alive and each one serves as a setting for the most beautiful contemporary garden creations.
The gardens presented are selected after an international competition from several hundred landscape projects from around the world.
This festival is therefore the perfect way to discover the gardens of tomorrow and to draw fresh ideas to adapt at home.
The International Garden Festival caters to as diverse an audience as possible by offering not only themed gardens, but also children's tours and a green theater.
Whether or not you are an experienced gardener, you can participate in workshops and escape for the time of a bucolic walk in the fresh air...
To note: the exceptional site of the Chaumont castle and its park, which offer a magnificent view of the Loire, are open all year round.
The International Garden Festival celebrates its 30th anniversary this year and invites you to meet from April 21 to November 6, 2022 on the theme 'The Ideal Garden'.
