Good news for viewers following the adventures of Nans and Mouts on France 5! The two adventurers from the show "Nus et culottés" are launching a new print magazine co-published by Bayard. Entitled Walp, this ad-free quarterly promises to reflect its creators: bold, funny, and inspiring.
Two travelers unlike any other
Fans of the show "Nus et culottés" know it well: in this program, broadcast on France 5 since 2012, Nans and Mouts recount journeys like no other. They set off without money and even without clothes, relying on the solidarity of people they meet along the way to continue their journey and reach their set goal.
After sharing their adventures and encounters on television by filming themselves, the two bold and bare wanderers decided to transcribe them onto paper. About four years ago, they created a first magazine with Kim Pasche called "La Tribu du Vivant."
Buoyed by this initial success, they wanted to go further and embarked on a new publishing adventure in partnership with Bayard Editions: the magazine Walp. A nod to their televised adventures, "walp" is the French slang word for "poil" (hair), as their motto goes, "rien ne sert de courir, il faut partir à poil" (there's no point in running, you have to start naked)! The two travelers also chose this name because it is an acronym for We Are Lively People.
A magazine in their image
Through the Walp magazine, Nans and Mouts wish to offer a quarterly publication that reflects their image, where they can delve into the themes that are dear to them: sharing, the enrichment brought by encounters, resilience, and wonder, not to mention the little touch of madness that characterizes them!
In addition to sharing their universe with readers, their passion for travel and exchanges, they will give a voice to other everyday experimenters, as bold and inspiring as they are.
This new magazine aims to challenge preconceived ideas and encourage those who read it to dare. Dare to move, dare to reach out to others, or simply dare to be a little more yourself! In short, the content of the magazine is an invitation to make more room in one's daily life for curiosity and the audacity to live fully.
A necessarily singular content
With Walp, Nans and Mouts wish to share their personal philosophy, which is not limited to material minimalism and can be summed up as the art of living with an open heart. They envisioned a magazine dedicated to wandering, the re-enchantment of daily life, and testimonies from inspiring personalities.
This quarterly publication, which explores paths of freedom and discovery, primarily features encounters as precious as gems. It gathers unconventional dialogues, tender or enlightening stories collected by the two travelers along their journey, and inspiring testimonials on alternative lifestyles.
This 116-page magazine, resembling a beautiful book, also offers advice, tutorials, and challenges for aspiring wanderers or sedentary readers seeking new experiences. For example, the first issue includes an origami tutorial, the art of Japanese paper folding. In fact, in the show Nus et culottés on France 5, Mouts often creates beautiful origami to thank those who have hosted them.
Note: This new quarterly magazine will be available at newsstands for €19.50 starting November 22, 2024. This publication is unique in that it contains no advertisements. Funded solely by subscriptions, the magazine relies on its readers to spread and promote a new perspective on the world.
As the adventures of Nans and Mouts regularly gather over a million viewers on France 5, we can only wish them the same success in this new venture.
