After leaving the "Affaire conclue" show on France 2, Sophie Davant returns to France 3 with a magazine called "En bonne compagnie." This weekly appointment, broadcast on Saturday afternoons, is dedicated to animals of all kinds.
After leaving the "Affaire conclue" show on France 2, Sophie Davant returns to France 3 with a magazine called "En bonne compagnie." This weekly appointment, broadcast on Saturday afternoons, is dedicated to animals of all kinds.
Since last September, Sophie Davant had been absent from television, which had never happened in her 35-year career. Fortunately for her fans, her absence was short-lived as she took the helm of a new magazine starting Saturday, January 20, 2024.
The host, who loves animals and especially dogs, will offer every Saturday afternoon a magazine on animals titled En bonne compagnie.
This weekly appointment can be discovered every Saturday at 3:35 PM on France 3. It could interest many viewers since, in France, one out of every two households has at least one pet…
With the weekly magazine "En bonne compagnie," France Télévisions is relaunching a program on animals, a concept that had disappeared from the group's channels for seven years.
Although "30 millions d'amis" remains the reference in terms of animal programs, the producers of this new show wanted to distance themselves from it and offer a more modern concept that could help viewers in their relationship with their pets.
The director of programming, Stéphane Sitbon-Gomez, naturally entrusted the presentation of this show to Sophie Davant because she has always had dogs and was used to bringing her Maltese bichon onto the set of "C'est au programme…"
For three years now, Raoul, her faithful Havanese bichon, has been accompanying her everywhere, even onto the shooting sets. Who knows? The little black bichon may one day replace Mabrouk, the German Shepherd who was the mascot of "30 millions d'amis," in the hearts of the viewers!
In the magazine "En bonne compagnie," Sophie Davant welcomes a guest every week who comes to discuss their latest news as well as their pet.
In the first issue, which aired on January 20th, she welcomed Véronique Jannot, who appeared on the set with her dog. The actress also talked about her love for horses and her giant lop rabbit that stayed at home!
The upcoming guests of this new magazine will include singer Dave, singer and actress Elsa Esnoult, Nathalie Marquay-Pernaut, Jeanfi Janssen, and Aurore Delplace (who stars in "Un si grand soleil" on France 2). All will come to share on air their love for their pets…
With this new project, Sophie Davant once again hosts a "group" show. Just like on the sets of "C'est au programme" and "Affaire conclue," the presenter is in good company. She is joined by emergency veterinarian Pierre Fabing and two other columnists: Emy LTR and Kamini. The first addresses viewers' questions, while the other two offer reports on the theme of animals.
Each columnist brings their personal insight into pets. Emy LTR (real name Emy Letertre) highlights individuals committed to animal welfare associations. This content creator, with one million followers on Instagram, is herself very involved in animal advocacy.
Kamini, the singer who originated the hit "Marly-Gomont," features people who live with unexpected animals. His column is an opportunity to discuss our sometimes surprising connections with all kinds of animals, such as farm animals, wild animals, and new types of pets!
Specialized animal behaviorists in the behavior of dogs, cats, and birds will make occasional appearances on the show to help people.
As for Sophie Davant, she is the ideal person to foster a great spirit of camaraderie on the show. She stated in an interview: "I really like this spirit of sharing, forming bonds with people around me. [...] When I was introduced to the three columnists of 'En bonne compagnie,' we clicked right away."
At 60 years old, this icon of French television has a busy schedule. She has published the book "Quel bonheur de vieillir!" with Solar editions and hosts "Sophie & les copains," a daily show on Europe 1.
