La Parisienne is a non-competitive foot race for women 16 years and older. It is held every year in Paris over a distance of about 6 km.
This race over a distance accessible to all is a challenge taken up each year by several thousand female participants. It is also a festive and friendly event, where the main thing is to participate, each at her own pace...
Training sessions are organized from March onwards to prepare participants for the 6 km. Finally, advice evenings and workshops are held throughout the year to inform and educate women on health and lifestyle issues.
Since its creation by Patrick Aknin in 1997, La Parisienne has been increasingly successful. Following the example of Paris, several large cities are now organizing their mini 'Parisienne'.
In 1997, 1,500 women took the start, in the alleys of the Bois de Boulogne, for the first exclusively female foot race. In 2009, out of 17,396 women registered, 14,850 took the start.
Since 2001, this race has been associated with a Breast cancer awareness campaign. The Foundation for Medical Research or FRM organizes fundraising actions among the runners and companies registered in the race. In 2009, €77,148 was raised to fund Breast cancer research projects.
The 25th edition of La Parisienne takes place this year on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 September 2022.
Several thousand women are expected for this 25th edition, which will inaugurate a new course.
Two races, the 7 km loop to be completed by Walking or running, but also a 10 km running course.
Music and animations are on the program, about thirty groups, bands, Dj and orchestras will be present
Individual registration for the race: 40 to 45€.
