The Forbidden Forest finally arrives in France
After touring Europe, North America, and Asia, the attraction Harry Potter: Forbidden Forest experience is finally arriving in France to the delight of French fans. More than 200,000 visitors are expected for this event named Harry Potter: The Forbidden Forest Experience.
The wizarding world and the magical creatures that inhabit it will take over the Jardin des Plantes of Montauban starting next autumn. From October 19, 2024, this garden will be transformed into the Forbidden Forest, thanks to the magic of theatrical illusions, special effects, and illuminations. This event follows the Lantern Festival organized in the city for the past two years.
This experience, conceived by Discovery Global Themed Entertainment, Warner Bros, and Fever, will be presented for the first time to the French public, in collaboration with the Greater Montauban community in Tarn-et-Garonne. Before coming to France, some fans were able to discover it in 2021 in Cheshire, on the outskirts of Manchester, and in 2022 in Groenenberg, on the outskirts of Brussels in Belgium.

At nightfall, visitors will have to make their way into the depths of the forest, following a path illuminated by fascinating lights. During this moonlit adventure, they will encounter creatures straight out of the Harry Potter universe, such as a hippogriff and niffler...
The nighttime experience offered at the Jardin des Plantes in Montauban is inspired by both the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films. The sounds, lights, and special effects will bring the Wizarding World to life thanks to the talent of award-winning scenographers and experience creators.
Share a magical moment with your family
The Forbidden Forest Experience is a unique attraction in France that allows fans to relive some of the most epic scenes from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films.
Throughout this nighttime outdoor journey, visitors will interact with magical creatures and bow before a Hippogriff, just as Hagrid taught Harry... Each visitor will also be able to cast the Expecto Patronum spell and see their very own Patronus appear before their eyes!
In summary, this Harry Potter attraction promises an unforgettable evening for the whole family, on an enchanted trail where magic awaits at every turn. Open from Tuesday to Sunday from 6 PM to 11 PM on weekdays and until midnight on weekends and during school holidays.
Duration: approximately 1 to 1.5 hours
The gates open at 6 PM, but the organizers reserve the right to delay the opening by a few minutes in October to ensure the best possible experience for visitors.
To enter the Jardin des Plantes, visitors will need to present a QR code corresponding to their reservation time.

If you are interested, you can sign up for the presales which will open on Thursday, June 20, 2024, by visiting the official experience website (link below). These presales give early access to the first 15,000 tickets sold.
It will then be possible to sign up for a second list to gain access to exclusive information and ticket sales during the official ticket office opening next September.
