Attention to all Saint-Exupéry and his most famous hero fans! Since the summer of 2014, a leisure park dedicated to the Little Prince has opened its doors in Alsace near Mulhouse. In this place full of poetry, you can of course visit asteroid B612 but also discover other planets mentioned in the book, installed in captive balloons.
An aerial park.
Since 2014, the Little Prince, the famous hero of Saint-Exupéry, has had his own amusement park in Ungersheim, near Mulhouse. This park dedicated to the universe of this world-renowned children's story is also France's first aerial park.
The park is operated by Aérophile, a captive balloon manufacturer, which has already installed its balloons in San Diego, Orlando, Paris and designed the Aérobar, one of the attractions at Futuroscope!
Much of the Petit Prince park's attractions take place in the air. The two large captive balloons on site can rise up to 150 meters in altitude and offer a panoramic view of the Vosges and the Black Forest.
An Aérobar invites you to have a drink... 35 meters above the ground with your feet dangling! These three attractions evoke three of the planets visited by the Petit Prince: those of the King, the Lamplighter, and the Drunkard.
Poetic attractions
On the ground, it is the universe of the Little Prince that is honored since visitors can walk on his planet, the asteroid B612.
Fans of this timeless tale will be delighted to be able to:
- watch movies about the Little Prince and the adventure of Aéropostale in three cinemas
- get lost in the hero's universe in two giant mazes
- participate in games and quizzes
- come across many animals: butterflies, foxes, and of course sheep. There will even be a big blackboard to draw them.
For the record, the location of the Parc du Petit Prince, about twenty kilometers from Mulhouse and Colmar, is where a meteorite fell on November 7, 1492. It is even the first meteorite preserved and studied!
For its 10th season, the park offers new features from spring 2023 (reopening scheduled for April 7):
- La Renardière, a new attraction to discover from June 3, is a ride specially designed for the park
- The Little Prince and his friends, a new animation series arrives in preview at the Parc du Petit Prince in partnership with Okoo! The Vol de Nuit attraction has been completely redecorated in the colors of this new series and an unpublished episode, "La Rose voit Rouge" will be broadcast from the opening in the Grand Cinema!
- for the reopening of the park, the Easter Bunny will come to hide chocolates and the traditional Easter egg hunts will be organized from April 7, the first day of the Easter weekend, through the big maze and in other corners of the park.
