The city of Provins in Seine-et-Marne organizes one of the biggest medieval festivals in France. During two days, historical re-enactments invite you to a journey to the heart of the Middle Ages.
The Médiévales de Provins offer you to relive the great era of the Champagne Fairs that made the fame and prosperity of Provins from the 11th to the 13th century.
These festivities take place in the unique setting of the medieval city of Provins, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Médiévales de Provins offers each year in June a life-size reconstruction of daily life in the Middle Ages.
During these two days of celebration, troubadours, acrobats, musicians, feast makers, merchants and craftsmen animate the streets of the city and the ditches of the ramparts.
This year, the Médiévales de Provins will take place on June 25 and 26, 2022 with the theme 'The Builders'.
Troubadours, acrobats and crowd entertainers will give you a unique experience for two days! Meet artisans, merchants and lovers of the Middle Ages through the ancient city site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Dances, music, games, jousts, street performances and, of course, the great classics of the festival: the traditional medieval ball on the Place du Châtel, a great medieval concert and the Sunday procession with 700 people dressed in medieval costumes.
The 37th Médiévales de Provins will take place on June 25 and 26, 2022.
