Science Festival is a free event organized throughout France at the initiative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. For one week, curious minds are invited to discover, in a serious or playful way, the new aspects of science and technology in the company of researchers, engineers, and technicians. It covers all fields of science (life sciences, health, communication technologies, environmental sciences) and will allow you to uncover the secrets of matter and the universe, as well as the earth and human sciences.
What animations are offered?
During the Science Festival, various activities are offered throughout the French territory. All of them are aimed at the general public, including young people and children, and aim to transmit scientific knowledge in a friendly atmosphere.

Edition 2023 translates to "2023 edition" in English.
The 32nd Science Festival will take place from October 6th to October 16th, 2023 in mainland France, and from November 10th to November 27th, 2023 in Overseas territories and internationally.
This year, the festival's theme is "Sport & Science". While the Rugby World Cup is in full swing in several French cities and France prepares to host the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, this edition invites you to discover how scientific advancements influence sports practices, and vice versa.
Through sports, various scientific developments will be presented in nutrition, sociology, biology, biomechanics, psychology, pharmacology, and cognitive sciences... Sports is a unifying theme that will surely foster dialogue between science and society, researchers and citizens.
