A project initiated by the city of Dijon ten years ago, the Cité internationale de la gastronomie et du vin welcomed its first visitors on May 6, 2022.
This 6.5-hectare space, which cost 250 million euros to develop, is one of the largest urban development projects of the year 2022 in France.
This new tourist attraction for the city of Dijon required the renovation of 15th and 18th century buildings as well as the construction of new modern elements by architect Anthony Béchu.

The Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie et du Vin is dedicated to introducing visitors from all over the world to the gastronomic meal of the French and the climates of the Burgundy vineyards, both of which are listed as Unesco World Heritage Sites.
To celebrate this French art of living, this brand new venue in Dijon brings together :
- exhibition spaces
- shops
- an exceptional cellar
- prestigious training courses in the field of wine and gastronomy with a campus of the École Ferrandi
- three restaurants emblematic of French know-how.
If you have chosen to travel to this region of France to discover the wines of Burgundy, the first must-see attraction at the Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie et du Vin is the Burgundy Wine School!

You can complete your discovery of the famous wines of Burgundy by visiting la Cave de la Cité, which gathers 3000 references and offers 250 wines by the glass.
The exhibition spaces, which total 1720 m2, are divided between the contemporary pavilion and the large chapel of the former hospital. The permanent exhibition tour will introduce you to the art of eating and drinking well, while the first temporary exhibition sponsored by Pierre Hermé will reveal the secrets of French pastry (prices: €9 for the four exhibitions, €13 with a tasting glass at the Cave).
Lovers of good products, don't miss the market located in the heart of the Cité: the Gastronomic Village!
The best products of our French producers are gathered there, whether you are looking for seafood, cheese, cold cuts, fruits and vegetables, coffee or bread, without forgetting the famous Dijon Mustard THE flagship product of local gastronomy.
Finally, if all these beautiful products have whetted your appetite, you will have the choice between:
- Le Comptoir de la Cité, a vast bistro where you can taste delicatessen products and great classics of Burgundian gastronomy
- La Table des Climats, a gastronomic restaurant that honors wine pairings by offering a custom-made plate based on the wine you have previously chosen.
