The Festival Des Mots: A Summer Event In The Alpes-maritimes
The Festival des Mots is the flagship event of the Alpes-Maritimes General Council's Summer Evenings. It is a free event for the whole family. The program includes readings of great literary texts by famous actors.
Presentation of the festival
The Festival des Mots is one of the highlights of the Soirées Estivales of the Conseil Général des Alpes-Maritimes. This storytelling festival, which takes place in several communes of the department, has opened up to literature and Reading since 2012.
The Alpes-Maritimes have indeed been a place of welcome and inspiration for many writers such as André Gide, Henry de Montherlant, Simone de Beauvoir or Le Clézio. The latter has dedicated beautiful pages to the valley of Vésubie where he lived as a child.
During this festival placed under the sign of words and imagination, great literary texts come to life thanks to the talent of famous actors.
After having welcomed Emmanuelle Béart, Patrick Timsit, Frédéric Diefenthal, Irène Jacob and Jérome Kircher, Christophe Malavoy, Clémentine Célarié and Fanny Cottençon in 2014, this event promises us more beautiful evenings around the pleasure of reading.
