Summer Evenings: Free Shows In The Alpes-maritimes.
Every summer, the Summer Evenings turn the Alpes-Maritimes department into an open-air theater. Hundreds of shows for young and old and for all tastes are held in the municipalities of the department. The programming is eclectic and completely free!
"The cultural event of the summer"
Since their creation in 1996, the Summer Evenings of the General Council have been one of the must-attend events of the summer on the French Riviera. These evenings, free and accessible to all, allow residents and tourists to have a good time with family or friends.
Each year, more than 300,000 people are present, proof of the quality of the shows offered. In total, more than 2 million spectators have attended over 5000 shows thanks to this initiative of the General Council of Alpes-Maritimes.
These summer evenings are an opportunity to:
- promote culture everywhere and for everyone
- offer a showcase for the local artistic scene
- invite the public to rediscover the cities and villages of the department.
An eclectic programming
Every year, the programming of the Summer Evenings highlights artists from Alpes-Maritimes, whether they are musicians, singers, actors, magicians, storytellers or dancers!
Culture is thriving in the department and is displayed in coastal towns as well as in inland villages.
All styles and artistic genres are represented, from classical music to contemporary music including jazz, music hall, singing and traditional music. Fans of magic, storytelling, theater and dance are not forgotten.
Edition 2023 translates to "2023 Edition" in English.
For the 2023 edition, the Summer Evenings will take place from June 23 to September 2, 2023 in 155 municipalities in the department.
This year, more than 500 shows will be offered for free and open access.
