Pear And Almond Express Pie: A Very Easy Recipe
Did you know that you can make delicious, crispy pies with simple sheets of brick? To prove it to you, I suggest you discover the recipe of the pear and almond express pie: a delight that can be prepared in a flash!
Ingredients
Here are the ingredients needed to make an express pear almond tart for 6 people:
3 sheets of brick pastry
25 g of soft butter
a large tin of pears in syrup
1 tablespoon of sugar
50 g almond powder
a handful of slivered almonds
half a grated tonka bean
To note: you can replace the tonka bean with Vanilla powder or Vanilla sugar.
Preparation
1- Melt the butter.
2- Carefully drain the pears in syrup and set them aside for the rest of the recipe.
3- For this recipe for Pear Almond Express Tart, use a pie dish the size of the brick sheets or slightly smaller.
4- Using a kitchen brush, Butter the pie dish with the melted butter. Line the pie dish with the first sheet of brick pastry and brush it with the melted butter.
5- Place the 3 buttered sheets of brick on top of each other in the pie dish to create the base of your crispy pie.

Mounting
The assembly of this express pear and almond tart is very simple and fast.
1- Once you have filled the tart tin with the brick pastry sheets, sprinkle the last sheet with a tablespoon of sugar.
2- Add the almond powder in an even layer on the pie crust to protect the brick sheets from the pear juice.

3- Arrange the pear halves in syrup nicely on top of the almond powder. With the diameter of my pie pan, I was able to put 7 pear halves on the edge of the pie and 3 pear halves in the center.

4- Sprinkle the pears with grated tonka beans. Alternatively, you can use Vanilla powder or Vanilla sugar.
5- Sprinkle the tart with flaked almonds before putting it in the oven.

Cooking
1- Preheat your oven to 200°C.
2- Bake the pear almond express pie for about 15 minutes, until the brick sheets and flaked almonds are golden brown.
