Do you love Asian stir-fry dishes? Try our recipe for sliced pork with vegetables! Both economical and easy to make, this recipe provides a complete dish with deliciously exotic flavors.

Ingredients

Here are the ingredients needed to prepare pork strips with vegetables for 4 people:

400 g of pork strips.
2 tablespoons of honey.
3 tablespoons of soy sauce.
1 tablespoon of sesame oil.
1 teaspoon of garlic powder.
2 small green bell peppers.
1 large white onion.
125 g of button mushrooms.
a few cherry tomatoes.
1 teaspoon of cornstarch.
salt and pepper.
1 tablespoon of oil for cooking.
2 tablespoons of sesame seeds for garnish.

Preparation of the marinade

To prepare sliced pork with vegetables, start by marinating the meat in a mixture of soy sauce and sesame oil with an Asian flair.

1- In a bowl, mix honey with soy sauce.

2- Add two turns of ground pepper, sesame oil, and garlic powder.

3- Dilute this Asian marinade with two tablespoons of water before pouring it over the meat.

4- Let the sliced pork marinate in the refrigerator between 30 minutes and 2 hours depending on the time you have available.

Vegetable cutting

While the meat is marinating, prepare the various vegetables that will be used as a garnish for the pork stir-fry with vegetables.

1- Wash and deseed the green bell peppers, then cut them into thin strips.

2- Peel the white onion and slice it into thin strips.

3- Wash and stem the cherry tomatoes, then cut them in half.

4- Clean the button mushrooms and cut them into quarters.

Cooking meat

For this pork stir-fry with vegetables recipe, I recommend using a wok to quickly stir-fry the different ingredients. However, you can also cook this dish in a large pan.

1- Heat the pan or wok over high heat with a tablespoon of sesame or sunflower oil.

2- Drain the pieces of meat and then sauté them for a few minutes over high heat, stirring constantly, until the meat is browned on all sides.

3- Reserve two tablespoons of marinade for the rest of the recipe.

4- Pour the remaining marinade over the meat and let the sauce reduce over high heat.

5- Transfer the meat and its sauce to a dish, so you can use the same pan for cooking the vegetables.

Cooking vegetables

1- Place the pan or wok back over high heat.

2- Sauté the green pepper strips and sliced onion together. Add a pinch of salt.

3- When these two ingredients start to become tender, without browning, add the quartered button mushrooms and cherry tomatoes.

4- Sauté the vegetables over medium heat, stirring often, until they are cooked to your liking.

Finishes and tasting tips

To finalize the sliced pork with vegetables, you just need to assemble and reheat the different ingredients.

1- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch into the marinade you reserved. Whisk to prevent lumps.

2- Add the pork and its sauce to the pan containing the sautéed vegetables.

3- Pour the marinade and cornstarch mixture into the pan to thicken everything.

4- The dish is ready when the ingredients are hot and the sauce reaches a syrupy consistency.

5- Serve this sliced pork stir-fry with rice. When serving, you can sprinkle each bowl with sesame seeds.
