The Garden Festival Of The Royal Saltworks In Arc-et-senans
During the Garden Festival of the Royal Saltworks, the gardens of this famous monument are transformed to illustrate a different theme each year. For more than ten years, this festival has allowed many visitors to rediscover the Arc-et-Senans saltworks, which has been a Unesco World Heritage Site since 1982.
An original festival
The Festival des jardins de la Saline Royale, held every summer in Arc-et-Senans in the Doubs, enjoys a prestigious setting as it takes place in the gardens of an old saltworks now listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site.
But this is not the only particularity of this event. For more than ten years, this festival has established a partnership with schools and training centers of the Grand Est. At each edition, nearly 300 enthusiasts (gardeners, trainers, pupils and students) are involved in the realization of this project.
On the public side, the success is there since more than 80,000 visitors come each year to discover the gardens of the saltworks during the summer season.
Edition 2022
The next edition of the Festival of the gardens of the Royal Saltworks gives you an appointment in Arc-et-Senans from June 4 to October 31, 2022.
This year, the theme of the festival is the work of Gilles Clément. It will be illustrated by 11 ephemeral gardens and 10 new thematic gardens
