Prometheus: What Is The Value Of The New Tf1 Series?

From Thursday, March 16, TF1 will broadcast Prometheus, a TV series skilfully oscillating between drama, thriller and fantasy. We propose you to discover the highlights of this French fiction in 6 episodes.

This series bets on the fantastic

Once is not usual, TF1 offers with Prometheus a TV series that has a fantastic side. From the first episode, incomprehensible events occur.

On a stormy night, Caroline and Charles Lasset are driving home when they run over a naked teenage girl. She miraculously gets up without a scratch.

Taken in by the couple who caused the accident, she remembers nothing except her strange first name: Prometheus. In the hospital, while undergoing a CT scan, she is taken by visions. These violent images link her to a crime scene where the murderer is still at large.

The reappearance of this amnesiac teenager is of interest to the police, especially since it occurs two months after the murder of a high school girl.

As questions multiply around her identity, the 17-year-old girl gradually discovers that she has outstanding physical abilities, which makes her even more intriguing.

The cast is solid and very feminine

In addition to its original fantasy aspect, another strong point of the Prometheus series is that it is carried by a solid, mostly female cast.

You will recognize in this French drama a fine lineup of actresses:
- Camille Lou as Elise Kirvin, the police captain who investigates the murder of a high school girl

- Odile Vuillemin in the role of Marie Clairmont, the psychologist in charge of accompanying the amnesiac teenager with strange visions. The actress, who made a name for herself playing the psycho-criminologist Chloe Saint-Laurent in Profilage from 2009 to 2016, had fun composing a completely different character, very rigid in her attitude as well as in her look.

- Marie-Josée Croze who plays Caroline Lasset

- the young Fantine Harduin who plays the mysterious Prometheus... If her face rings a bell, it's probably because you've already seen her in L'Absente on France 2.

This beautiful female cast is completed by Thomas Jouannet, a face well known to viewers for his participation in the series Nina on France 2 and Sam on TF1. He plays Charles Lasset, a doctor who works at the hospital and who takes in the amnesiac teenager.

The suspense is gripping

This original TF1 drama skillfully navigates between the codes of fantasy and those of a police investigation. It must be said that this fiction in 6 episodes of 52 minutes was created by Nicolas Jean of HPI and Claire Kanny (Off Season).

Another positive point, Prometheus was directed by Christophe Campos to whom we owe the series The Red Bracelets also aired on La Une.

With the strength of this creative team, this fiction made in France shot in early 2022 in the Pyrenees-Atlantiques region spares an effective suspense tinged with the supernatural.

With its plot as mysterious as some of its characters, it will keep you on the edge of your seat for three evenings starting Thursday, March 16 at 9:10 pm on TF1.
