The Floor: Cyril Féraud Will Host A New And Original Tv Game Show On France 2 This Fall.

France Télévisions' flagship presenter for game shows, Cyril Féraud, will still be present on France 2 this fall. He will be hosting a game adapted from The Floor with an atmosphere reminiscent of the Netflix series Squid Game. Here's what we already know about this unique game.

"The exact name of the game is not yet known."

After successfully hosting the game show 100% logic in prime time on France 2, Cyril Féraud will return to the channel in the fall of 2023 with a new and original game show. France Télévisions has decided to entrust this popular host with the French adaptation of The Floor, the new game created by John de Mol. The French title of the game is not yet known, but Stéphane Sitbon-Gomez, the head of programming at France Télévisions, has revealed some valuable information about the concept of this new game.

2- There will be 100 candidates in the race.

The French adaptation of The Floor promises to be spectacular with a Squid Game-inspired atmosphere inspired by the famous Netflix TV series! No less than 100 candidates will be spread out on a huge board composed of 100 squares.

A draw will designate one of them who will have to face one of their neighbors on a general knowledge question. The winner of this face-to-face will recover an additional square and eliminate their opponent at the same time.

The last candidate in competition will win a significant amount of money.

Note: In the United States, where this game will also be adapted, the grand winner will leave with the tidy sum of one million dollars!

3- This game could be broadcasted on a daily basis.

For now, it is not yet known precisely at what time slot this adaptation of The Floor will be broadcast. The newspaper Le Parisien, which presented this new game, mentions a possible prime time and daily broadcast. Indeed, viewers will follow the candidates and their elimination over several successive episodes.

4- This novelty is the event game of the season.

Although little information is confirmed about it, this adaptation of "The Floor" on France 2 is already announced as the event game of the season on the public channel.

With this unprecedented concept, France 2 hopes to renew the good ratings of "100% Logique", another program presented by Cyril Féraud.

The 6 episodes of this prime time game show during the 2023 season ended with a record audience on March 11th. This broadcast attracted 3.55 million viewers, representing an audience share of 18.6% across all viewers and even 21.5% in the highly coveted target audience of women under 50 years old.

5- Cyril Féraud will be very present on public channels.

As the saying goes, you don't change a winning team. That's why viewers will unsurprisingly find Cyril Féraud at the helm of several game shows on France 2 and France 3.

In addition to being entrusted with the adaptation of The Floor for French audiences, the darling host of France Télévisions will return in the fall with his successes Le Quiz des Champions and 100% Logique!

The 37-year-old host, who already has 15 years of television career under his belt, is going to have a very busy fall... But he doesn't complain because, by pursuing this profession, this game show enthusiast is realizing his childhood dream.
