My Adapt' Premium: A Unique Aid For Adapting One's Home
Good news for the elderly or disabled with modest incomes! Since January 1st, 2024, the government has launched Ma Prime Adapt', a unique financial aid to help you adapt your home. We invite you to discover the amount of this aid and the conditions to be met in order to benefit from it.
What is My Adapt' Prime?
Ma Prime Adapt' is a unique assistance for the adaptation of homes, to enable elderly or disabled individuals to continue living in their own homes.
This scheme aims to fund home adaptation work for individuals with modest incomes.
Who is eligible for My Adapt' Premium?
To be eligible for "Ma Prime Adapt'," you must meet certain income conditions.
You must also be in one of the following three situations:
• be disabled with a disability rate of 50% or higher or be eligible for the disability compensation benefit (PCH).
• be aged between 60 and 69 years old and demonstrate early loss of independence, with a GIR (iso-resource group) level of 1 to 6.
• be aged 70 years or older, regardless of the level of dependency or autonomy.
To benefit from this financial assistance for adaptation work, you must be an owner-occupier of your dwelling or a tenant in the private sector for your primary residence, with no condition of seniority.
What types of work can be financed with My Adaptation Premium?
The Ma Prime Adapt’ scheme aims to prevent falls and domestic accidents for all people experiencing a loss of autonomy by funding accessibility work in homes.
From January 1, 2024, this aid will allow financing various adaptation works intended to enhance the safety of occupants, both inside and outside the home:
• Bathroom layout.
• Installation of raised toilets with support bars.
• Kitchen layout.
• Installation of a stairlift.
• Installation of motion detection lighting.
• Installation of an access ramp to the entrance.
• Widening of the entrance door.
• Arrangement of a parking space for people with reduced mobility.
• Installation of roller shutters.
It is thus possible to finance different types of work thanks to this aid, up to a limit of 22,000 € excluding taxes.
The extent of the aid depends on the household's income level. Depending on your income, this premium can finance up to 50% or 70% of the cost of adaptation work.
How to apply for My Adapt' Bonus?
If you meet the eligibility criteria and wish to benefit from Ma Prime Adapt’, you simply need to submit an application:
• to the local delegations of the Anah.
• on the online platform which is expected to be operational from January 2024.
Once your file has been created, you will receive personalized support from a project management assistant authorized by the Anah.
5- My Adapt' Premium, what does it change?
My Prime Adapt' is a new unique assistance for housing adaptation. It replaces the various existing aids and simplifies the procedures.
Until now, it was possible to request a "Habiter Facile" aid from the National Housing Agency (Anah), as well as to benefit from aids for the elderly from the National Old Age Insurance Fund (Cnav) or even to take advantage of a tax credit for certain types of work.
From now on, people who need to adapt their home can submit an application file in one place. Once the file is created, they are accompanied throughout the work by a single contact: the project management assistant (AMO) authorized by Anah.
