Les Voiles D'antibes: A Gathering Of Mythical Boats
At the opening of the Mediterranean season, some sixty of the world's most beautiful sailboats will once again meet in Antibes for Les Voiles d'Antibes! This gathering, which takes place every year in June, is a spectacle not to be missed!
Presentation of the meeting
Les Voiles d'Antibes, created in 1996, is held every year, usually, during the first week of June.
They mark the opening of the Mediterranean circuit for Traditions Yachts and Metric Classes as well as the first stage of the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge.
For most of the participants, this great gathering represents the first major meeting of the Mediterranean season.
The Voiles d'Antibes - Trophée Panerai welcomes, each year, a selection of the most beautiful Vintage Yachts (built before 1950), Classic Yachts (built before 1976) and Spirit of Tradition Yachts as well as the Metric Classes (6 MJI, 8MJI and the 12 MJI competitors of the America's Cup from 1958 to 1987), which have shaped since the end of the 19th century, the great history of International Yachting.
Some have been renovated and modernized to optimize their performance, others have been sold or have changed crews.
Faithful participants
The participants are renewed every year around mythical boats such as Ikra, Sovereign, Thendara, Lelantina, Outlaw, Adria, Cambria or Tuiga which have been present at all regattas for a long time already.
Every year, about ten new repaired or renovated boats are added to the circuit.
Antibes being the first big gathering of the season, sailors, owners and crews discover them and tell each other new stories that contribute to the party on land.
Appreciated for the quality of its regattas (Match-Race for the metric classes and coastal courses, along the 23 km of coastline between the bays of Antibes and Juan-les-Pins for the other classes) and for the conviviality present throughout, the Voiles d'Antibes - Trophée Panerai is without a doubt one of the most unmissable events of the Mediterranean circuit.?

Five days of entertainment are offered upon return to the dock.
Party and conviviality are certainly the themes of the village designed for gathering.
Antibes, famous throughout the world for its Jazz festival, had to associate music with sailing.
Every day from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm, numerous exhibitions and activities on the themes of the Sea and the Environment, as well as cocktails, concerts, parades and many other surprises and challenges, will enliven the Sailing Village and the Port Vauban, Europe's leading marina, with joy and good humor.

The 2022 edition of Les Voiles d'Antibes gives you an appointment from June 1 to 5, 2022.
Les Voiles d'Antibes will take place on the South Mole of the Port Vauban (Quai des évadés de Guerre) for the reception of the Classic Yachts and the Sailing Village (Partners, Exhibitors, Organization) and for the Festive Area (Animations & Concerts) on the Esplanade
du Pré aux Pêcheurs.
