Nice Regatta - Pasqui Trophy: Traditional Boats And Sailboats In Nice And Villefranche
The Trophée Pasqui in Villefranche-sur-Mer and the Nice Regatta are unmissable events for lovers of classic sailboats and traditional boats in the Alpes-Maritimes. Since 2013, these two events have been combined into a single large-scale event combining parades of these wonderful rigs and entertainment for young and old.
A great maritime event
The Alpes-Maritimes department, deeply attached to nautical activities since the introduction of yachting at the end of the 19th century, perpetuates this age-old tradition by organizing les Régates de Nice - Villefranche-sur-Mer - Trophée Pasqui.
The Trophée Pasqui (named after the talented shipwright Gilbert Pasqui) was created in 2004 to honor legendary boats and pay tribute to the traditional know-how of shipwrights.
Since 2013, it has merged with the Nice regatta to create a single major event. For the occasion, traditional sailboats call at the Bay of Angels and in the roadstead of Villefranche-sur-Mer to the delight of boat and water sport lovers.
This nautical race, which is also a great celebration, is an opportunity to admire some of the most beautiful rigs in the world in the enchanting setting of the Côte d'Azur coastline.
