Beatrice de Rothschild, the founder of the famous Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, had a passion for roses. Thus, this villa, reminiscent of Italian Renaissance residences, hosts the Rose and Plant Festival every May.
An Ode to the Rose
The Rose and Plant Festival held each spring in the enchanting setting of the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild is an event not to be missed for all rose enthusiasts.
For three days, visitors are invited to discover a profusion of roses and rare plants in one of the most beautiful gardens of the Côte d'Azur! Renowned nursery growers and rose breeders indeed set up in the heart of the French garden amidst palm trees and water features.
These days dedicated to the rose are therefore an opportunity to rediscover this unique place and its magnificent gardens: a moment of escape and dream not to be missed!
2024 Edition
The Rose and Plant Festival will take place on Saturday, May 4, and Sunday, May 5, 2024, at the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.
Around twenty international exhibitors (rose growers, nurserymen, and gardening professionals) will set up in the villa's gardens for the weekend.
Numerous activities will also be offered for both adults and children:
- guided tours of the nine thematic gardens of the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild
- gardening and floral art workshops
- lectures given by the French Rose Society
- musical entertainment in the gardens
- photographic walks
- parades of dresses made with flowers...
Visitors will finally be able to ask all the questions they want to the gardeners who will be available to them.
