Child's Play Monument: The Cultural Meeting Place For Children
Every autumn during the "Monument jeu d'enfant" operation, children are welcomed as VIPs in National Monuments. If you're looking for a family outing idea, don't miss this weekend specially dedicated to young audiences! This national operation is an opportunity to discover famous monuments, castles, abbeys, or archaeological sites while having fun.
Animations for young audiences
During a weekend, the National Monuments offer a privileged welcome to children to help them discover and appreciate the richness of our heritage.
The Monument jeu d'enfant operation has been organized for over fifteen years by the Centre des monuments nationaux (CMN).
It takes place over two days and is aimed at children aged 5 to 12 and their families.
The program includes shows, artistic creation workshops, puzzles, stories, unusual encounters, treasure hunts, and many other educational activities...
This makes the monuments much more lively and accessible to young audiences!
Edition 2023 -> Edition 2023
The 25th edition of Monument jeu d'enfant invites you to join us on October 21st and 22nd, 2023 all over France.
45 national monuments are participating in the event this year and are offering specially designed activities for young audiences.
Various workshops will be organized, including music, dance, singing, mask making, makeup, painting, sculpture, storytelling and theater, cooking, costume design, reproduction of prehistoric drawings, and investigations... Some monuments even offer a snack at the end of the visit.
Please note: the animations offered are specific to each monument, based on its history. They aim to introduce children to prestigious architectural heritage through imagination.
