Horizons: A Natural Art Exhibition In The Sancy Massif.
Attention art and hiking enthusiasts! All summer long, the Sancy mountain range is hosting ephemeral creations as part of the cultural project "Horizons". To discover these contemporary works created in situ, you will need to put on your hiking shoes and go for a walk in nature.
An original initiative.
Every summer since 2007, the Massif du Sancy in Auvergne transforms into a contemporary creation site. Each edition of this event called Horizons invites art and nature enthusiasts to discover about ten works created on site by international artists.
These original and ephemeral creations are a pretext for a walk and allow for a different way of seeing this medium mountain territory.
The artists, selected through a call for projects, come from very diverse backgrounds (visual arts, architecture, design, landscape) and their sources of inspiration are very varied. They also achieve real technical feats for the occasion.
Edition 2023 translates to "2023 Edition" in English.
For this 17th edition of Horizons, from June 17 to September 17, 2023, 11 new ephemeral creations have been scattered throughout the landscapes of Puy-de-Dôme.
These works, signed by Francis BENINCÀ / David BERTIZZOLO / Tiziana BERTONCINI / TIME MAKER'S: Jean COMBES, Gabriel EMARD, and Nicolas VINADELLE / Roland CROS / François KLEIN / Alessandro LUPI / Elise MORIN and Florent ALBINET / THE CLOUD COLLECTIVE: Floriane PIC and Joris LIPSCH / Delphine POUILLÉ / Anabelle SORIANO, will not fail to surprise you!
More magical than the others, they represent a dreamlike castle, a rain of mirrors, or even a giant octopus!
These creations await you in the heart of nature, at the foot of a volcano or by a lake or waterfall. To see everything, you will need to walk 16 km: a perfect outing to stretch your legs and feast your eyes!
