The Vigneronnes Meetings: A Friendly And Charitable Event In Montpellier.
Every year, the Esplanade Charles-de-Gaulle in Montpellier transforms into a winegrower village during the Rencontres Vigneronnes. This event, held at the end of November, invites you to taste local wine while supporting a charitable association.
Discovery and sharing around wine
The Vigneronnes Meetings take place every year in Montpellier during a weekend in November. This friendly event, created in 2004, lasts three days.
The celebration is organized in two parts:
• On Friday and Saturday, a winegrower village sets up on the Charles-de-Gaulle esplanade and the producers from the area introduce their wines to the public.
• On Sunday, the participating winegrowers and producers open their doors to the public.
Since its creation, this event also has a charitable dimension. Indeed, all the proceeds from the sale of tasting vouchers are donated to an association such as Téléthon or Sidaction.
In 2011, no less than €17,700 were donated to Sidaction. This year again, the entire proceeds will go towards AIDS research and support for patients.
Edition 2023 - Translation: 2023 Edition
The Rencontres Vigneronnes 2023 will take place on November 27-28, 2015 at the Esplanade Charles de Gaulle in Montpellier, and then in the cellars and vineyards of the metropolis on November 29.
During this weekend, local wines and winemakers will be showcased.
Participating producers will set up their stands in the heart of the city and offer tastings.
For only €2, each visitor will receive:
- a coupon for three tastings.
- a raffle ticket
- a coupon for a free bottle of wine with the purchase of a six-pack, on Sunday, November 29, at participating wineries.
On Sunday, the celebration continues at the producers. The cellars and vineyards of the Montpellier Agglomeration open their doors and offer free activities.
To complete the festivities, country buffets, tastings of local products, as well as painting and sculpture exhibitions and musical entertainment will be organized in the cellars and vineyards.
