Ingredients

  • - 1 roll of puff pastry
  • - 8 slices of crispy bacon
  • - 8 very thin slices of cheese, such as melted cheddar or cheese slices
  • - 1 egg yolk for glazing

Preparation

1. Gently roll out the puff pastry on a work surface.
2. Arrange the slices of bacon to completely cover the pastry.
3. Add the slices of cheese on top of the bacon.
4. Roll the pastry onto itself to form a log, then cut it into slices about 3 mm thick.
5. Place the pieces on a sheet of parchment paper and brush them with egg yolk to glaze.
6. Bake for about 12 minutes at 240°C (gas mark 8), until they are nicely golden.
